Research Office Technician (Maternity Leave)

Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) is an international center of excellence for research and education in logistics and supply chain management that actively engages with industry and the public sector to develop and disseminate knowledge. To accomplish its mission ZLC partnered with the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics to form the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program, an international program for education and research in logistics & supply chain management. The ZLC now has an opening for a Research Office Technician to cover a maternity leave.

The mission of the Research Office is to promote research at ZLC and to support its professors and researchers in all their research activities.

Working under the Director of Research Programs at the Zaragoza Logistics Center, the position has the following functions: promotion of the collaboration of transport and logistics companies, ZLC and other R&D centers in R&D&I projects; detection of research results generated by the center and transfer to companies through partnership projects; detection of research funding opportunities; and support to proposals’ preparation and research projects’ management.

Applicants should have higher Diploma qualification preferably with knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and/or experience in R&D&I Management (technology transfer office, research management service, company R&D department or similar) and/or technology promotion. Good level of English is essential.
Supplementary training and experience valued: Spanish and European R&D system, research project management, innovation and knowledge transfer; public R&D&I funding instruments intended for companies and their administration; team-working skills; highly developed organizational capacity, efficient information management, and dynamism, proactive and independent approach to work; willingness to perform tasks to deadline and work to targets.
